#121 Sons of My Daughters

On my first day in Ireland, the land of my ancestors, it would seem appropriate to have an Irish blessing related to family. I am delighted to I have received this very blessing. These two adorable little guys are the sons of my daughters whose smiles go right to my heart.

#120 Thoughts

I am indeed. My thoughts have taken me to the Emerald Isle, to live my Mother's dream and visit the land of my ancestry.  As this posts, I am flying through the air, between here and there; isn't it an amazing world.

#119 Open to Nature

Since I'm celebrating spring and the wonder of nature, here's another trillium.  It's easy to think of a flower as soulful ... soft, gentle, mysterious. And fragile.

#116 Blossom

A carpet of trillium is blossoming at our feet right at the moment. There it is in all its wild splendor - no planting, no weeding ... just there as a gift to behold.  My favourite kind of garden.

#117 Chickens

What an inspiration Grandma Moses is - not starting painting until her seventies and still creating over 3600 canvasses. Wise move to veer towards art and not chickens.  Her first paintings sold for a couple bucks, then in 1943, 1.2 Million .... good thinking Grandma.

#116 Fragrance

Just as people leave some of their essence behind. You have to wonder if the people who are mean, miserable, judgmental and the like, are aware of that or care.  Each one of us has the power to be a fragrant rose or a stinkweed.

#115 Colour is My ...

Being in a 'Colouful Stage' of life, I've coloured up some water running over the rocks down at our little brook here. My, wouldn't that be fun to do in real life.  They have stuff to throw into fires for that effect, but you'd need an awful lot of little jars of food colouring to get the water looking like this.

#114 Think

Yes, dear Winnie, I have. More and more often, it seems. And the way things are some days, that's okay.

#113 Sensitive

You certainly can't tell because I've used my imagination & messed around with it - but under the fire here, is water. Imagination is indeed often the fire that ignites out soul. Fire can be put out with water, but i's also possible for them to exist side by each, in which case they fulfill their own purpose & the needs of others as well.

#112 Better

I created this from photos I took on my walk the other night. It incorporates my two favourite things in nature - trees and water.  The single word that I believe is the one that brings peace is actually embedded in the photo - can you see it?

#111 Do Not Speak

A good friend shared this with me - she found it on a teabag.  Whatever brand came up with that concept is very wise. What better place for a spot of wisdom, than with a spot of tea.

#110 Look See

'Looking' and 'Seeing' ...now there are two words that should be similar because they both involve an exercise of the eyes. I think the difference is that the latter involves two other organs ... the brain and the heart. You can Look without Seeing, but you can't See without Looking.

#109 This Hour

It's Monday - Wash Day.  That's something I had totally forgotten about until I happened to be driving in Amish country on a Monday and noticed that farm after farm, had clothes hanging on the line. A tradition of a by-gone era that would be well to be adopted once again.

#108 Launch Yourself

That is precisely my mission. The plan is in place, but unless the atmosphere moves its ash, I will not be launching myself. Life does have it's obstacles - bergs in the water, ashes in the air.

#107 Can't Cross the Sea

And at this particular moment in time, you can't cross the sea by getting on an airplane either. So many people needing to get places; so many activities being interrupted; so many stories being amended. We can't cross the ocean by standing and staring at the sky either.

#106 Blossom

Those happy sunshine daffodils in the previous post are not nearly as appealing, as vibrant, as joyful while they're all closed up inside themselves.  It's good that they don't stop at this. It's good that they take the risk.

#105 Sisterhood

Daffodils are such cheerful flowers.... sunny & happy. But you don't see them standing alone. They're always surrounded by their friends ... their Sisters.

#104 Without Springs

Oh yes - I totally, absolutely believe this.  And like an old wagon, not being light-hearted, they make travelling through life with them isn't all that comfortable.. A sense of humour is one of the most important ingredients in Life, in my humble opinion.

#103 Smooth Seas

I found it interesting that this quote came from Africa. I think of rainforest, vegetation, jungle and the Amazon when I think of Africa. Besides the obvious widsom, it got me thinking.

#102 Test

Good test, ehe.  I am glad to say that I am NOT finished.  I get to carry on with my Missions:)

#101 Create Each Day

I especially love quotes that are 'empowering'. Ones that confirm the fact that each day is a whole new opportunity. And that we have exactly what we need without looking any further than our own doorsteps.

#100 Butterfly

A hopeful thought for #100.  I took this photo at one of those butterfly conservatories.  What a beautiful and fascinating place to visit; it was  like going into a jungle or rainforest.

#99 Peaceful

Although I can think of instances where it wouldn't be true, I do totally understand what he means. We all know people who are adept at making a tempest in a teacup. But it's the ones with a peaceful heart and attitude, who can stand in the midst of a hurricane and not blink an eye, that are an inspiration.

#98 Talents

Even though that's dated advice, we know what good ol' Ben Franklin means. Today it could be 'what good is a solar powered calculator in the dark'.  Doesn't quite have the same ring, does it?

#97 Canine

Keeping with the animal theme, I'll balance out the felines with the canines. Dexter was just a little puppy when I snapped this shot.  What a face.

#96 Kitty Kitty Kitty

Meet Junior. He is a much loved 16 year old who looks like he would totally agree with this statement. Or perhaps ...'Are you talking to ME???'

#95 Never Look Back

Not a spring image, I know - but one of my all time favourites. This incredibly magnificent animal was our much loved 'Mac', who towered over the donkeys.  I could have put something here about 'standing out amongst the asses' - but that would be derogatory to my beloved long-earred friends, and that would simply be unacceptable.

#94 Easter

This photo is of a window in the beautiful 'cathedral in the middle of nowhere' - St. Patricks in Kinkora, Ontario. The story behind it is wonderful, remarkable and joyful. As is the Easter miracle.

#93 Faith is a Bird

This seemed very appropriate for the Easter Vigil. The darkness that this night represents. And Faith.

#92 Domain of the Heart

How true is that. How often we visit those places again over the years. The places, the people, the times tucked safely away in our hearts.

#91 I Shall Wear

This is my take on the popular essay 'When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple.'  I shouldn't have messed with it because it's wonderful as it is. But I'm thinking that there are even feistier souls who would have this message.
